We had a super day at school dressed up in our costumes. There was lots of excitement in the classroom in the morning as we got to see each other all dressed up!! For our Oral Language time we created group spooky stories and performed the story for the rest of the class. We really enjoyed transforming our classroom into a cinema to watch the animated version of ‘Room on the broom’.

There was a lot of excitement last week when the children started their first week of our Halloween Aistear activities. We have four stations and we will all get a turn at each one over the coming weeks 😊😊
We have really been enjoying the fabulous ‘Room on the Broom’ story and it has given us lots of inspiration. Last week we made our own version of the witch, we then used our sequencing skills to make her broomstick with the characters from the story. We also have a small world version of this book for Aistear.

We have been busy making art for our new Halloween Theme for October. We were very proud of our pumpkins. We made them independently without any template. They are all different and that’s why we like them so much!

As part of our Autumn Theme, we have been learning all about the lifecycle of the mighty oak tree. We listened to a lovely story called ‘Little Acorn’, completed a life cycle sequencing activity and we made our our little acorn craft.
