For art we made our own farms, we took some inspiration from the story ‘What the Ladybird Heard’. We really enjoying making and naming our own farms and we think they look super! You can listen to the story below.
We really enjoyed our October topic: ‘The farm shop in Autumn’. For our play-based learning the small world farm was a big hit aswell as the ‘Farm Shop’. We have alot of farm experts in our class who are very knowledgeable. Over the month we expanded our autumn vocabulary, we learned about what happens on the farm during autumn and we learned about where the food we eat comes from.
For Maths Week we had a ‘Story of 9’ number trail. We had hoped to do it outside but the weather didn’t go to plan so we did an indoor trail instead. It was a lot of fun and we had to do alot of searching to find all the ways to make the story of 9!
We had a fantastic Autumn trip to Ballymacool Town park where we went on a ‘leaf hunt’ and then to Newmills Corn & Flax mill. Our tour guide Joseph told us lots of information and facts about the mill, it was very interesting.
Look at our Baby Museum. We loved getting to look at photos of each other as babies and see what important artefacts we brought in to display in the museum.
