Story time is one of our favourite times of the school day. Here are some books that we have really enjoyed listening to:
Here are some Christmas themed brainbreaks that we have been enjoying in class over the last few weeks.
We are loving our Christmas themed Aistear. The classroom is as busy as the North Pole and there is a constant buzz of excitement which is so wonderful! Our Aistear stations are:
Santa’ Workshop (Role Play corner)
The Writing Station (Writing Christmas cards and lists, encouraging free writing and mark making)
The North Pole (Small world play)
Arts & Crafts Station (Making Christmas decorations and designing Christmas jumpers)
We enjoyed listening to this traditional poem and we took some inspiration for our Christmas door decoration. We think this little mice are so cute and our door looks great too!
We have enjoyed listening to the Nativity Story and singing Christmas Carols. And we have been discussing lots of ways to remember Jesus at Christmas Time. We thinking saying Happy Birthday to baby Jesus in the crib on Christmas morning is a great way to remember this important part of celebrating Christmas .
Look how well our special handprint Christmas Trees turned out. We think they’re a work of art!!
We really enjoyed out Hot chocolate and cookie treat. We watched Stickman too! It was a fun Friday treat!
